Step-by-step guide for using the CTA 1250 One Man Brake Bleeder Kit:
Materials Needed:
- CTA 1250 One Man Brake Bleeder Kit
- Brake fluid compatible with your vehicle’s specifications (DOT 3, DOT 4, Etc.)
- Jack and jack stands (if necessary)
- Wrench or socket set
Instructions:
- Check Master Cylinder and Fluid Level: Ensure that the master cylinder is filled with brake fluid to the recommended level and properly sealed.
- Attach Bleeder Bottle: Securely affix the bleeder bottle to a point above the bleeder screw using the included magnet.
- Open Bleeder Screw: Loosen the bleeder screw by turning it one full rotation.
- Connect Tubing and Adapter: Attach the long clear tubing to the bleeder bottle, then connect the tapered adapter to the opposite end of the tubing. Insert the tapered adapter firmly into the bleeding screw hole, ensuring a snug fit.
- Perform Bleeding Procedure: Depress the brake pedal fully three to four times. Observe the clear tubing for the presence of air bubbles. If no air bubbles are visible, tighten the bleeder screw and proceed to the next wheel. If air bubbles are present, repeat the pedal strokes until the fluid appears free of bubbles. Monitor the brake fluid level in the master cylinder throughout the process, refilling as necessary before and after bleeding each wheel.
These steps ensure a systematic and thorough bleeding of the calipers and wheel cylinders, promoting optimal brake performance and safety.
